Reproduction sampler. From the designer: "I adapted this sampler by giving it an entirely different color palette from the original. While the photograph of the antique has been lightened to show detail, in reality the colors were very challenging to work with (the back even had shades of turquoise and purple!), and the linen color was a very dark orange. I felt that the motifs were absolutely stunning, however, and I do believe little Caroline had quite a fun personality, based on the charm of her sampler! For the pin keep, I pulled motifs from Caroline's sampler, freeing the green bird from its pink-gilded cage, giving her little dog freedom to roam."
