Current Turnaround Time
Orders for items currently in stock will typically ship out within 2-3 business days.
Preorders and special orders will ship when the items are received. Orders that include preorders (including Stitch Boxes) and in-stock items will ship when the preorder item is in stock.
If an item you order turns out to be out of stock, we will contact you via email.
Local Delivery Option
If you live in Corvallis and would like your order delivered to your house, please use the Local Delivery option at checkout (change "Ship To" information to choose this). If you have any special instructions for delivery, please let us know; otherwise items will be left at your front door, and you will receive an email informing you of delivery. This is restricted to Corvallis residents only; anyone outside of Corvallis will receive their order via USPS.
General Shipping Info
Please be sure your shipping address is correct!
DOMESTIC:
Packages will be shipped via USPS First Class Mail unless you choose to upgrade to Priority Mail for an additional shipping charge.
Insurance and tracking are included in the cost of Priority Mail.
You may also choose UPS as a shipping option, but please note that UPS will not deliver to PO Boxes.
INTERNATIONAL:
Regular orders can be shipped internationally to Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. We unfortunately cannot ship regular orders to the UK or EU at this time, as VAT laws and requirements put an undue burden on US-based small businesses like ourselves.
Certain Stitch Boxes with a value of over £135/€150 will be available to be shipped to addresses in the UK or EU on a box-by-box basis.
With all international orders, the customer is responsible for paying any taxes/VAT, import fees, and customs fees assessed by your country and the carrier.
Packages will be shipped via USPS First Class Package International Service (delivery time depends on the destination; please allow up to 4 weeks) unless you choose to upgrade to USPS Priority Mail International (delivery in 6-10 days on average) for an additional shipping charge.
Please note that First Class Package International Service does not include tracking outside of US borders. If you want tracking once your package leaves the US, consider upgrading to Priority Mail International.
You may also choose UPS for international shipments, though please be aware that UPS does assess additional import fees on top of VAT/taxes and duties.
****Please note that the buyer is responsible for any customs charges, taxes, and additional postage fees incurred on their packages.****
Due to current global circumstances and issues with the USPS, please allow 3 weeks for domestic packages and 12 weeks for international packages. The Starlight Stitchery unfortunately cannot take responsibility for packages once they have been mailed. Please contact your local post office for information about packages; be sure to have your tracking number handy. If you are concerned about your package going missing, please consider purchasing postage that includes insurance and/or tracking, or choose UPS as your shipping provider.
