"When I started designing this, it was planned to be a submission to a zine that never quite got off the ground. That was quite a bummer, but the silver lining is that I was able to release the design to the world that much more quickly.
I love everything about this little spot sampler. It’s so pretty and so feminine. That pink fabric is just precious. And the motifs could not be sweeter, stitched in DMC and Colour & Cotton flosses. The butterfly is a reproduction from one of my antiques and I can’t wait to turn it into a brooch.
Then, BAM! The modern sentiment on this old fashioned looking sampler hits hard after you take in the prettiness. And, I hope, it leaves everyone thinking just a bit."
